9th company run in Augsburg – Pharmpur was also virtually present
Due to the Covid 19-virus, this year many things turned out differently than originally planned. The pandemic did not even stop at the traditional Augsburg company run – this time it had to take place completely differently than planned. The organizers simply made the Event 2020 a virtual one!
The 9th company run took place under the motto “On Sept. 9th, 2020 we run virtually!” Pharmpur was of course not to be missed here – twelve running enthusiasts took up the challenge. There was no mass start as usual, but the runners ran all over Augsburg. One colleague even ran for Pharmpur while on vacation. The times were recorded via a special app which had to be downloaded before in order to get registered. This enabled the participants to comply with all valid hygiene rules.
The Pharmpur group chose the “Siebentisch-Wald” for the 6.3 km long course. With bright sunshine all runners gathered at an agreed place and started the app. Highly motivated and with a lot of joy in running, all twelve participants mastered the course with good times, and at the finish, colleagues and family members waited for the athletes with refreshments.
As every year, the M-net Augsburg company run naturally also collected donations for a good cause. 1 EUR per participant will be donated to the social department store “contact” in Augsburg, Haunstetten. In total, donations amounting to around 6,500 EUR were collected.
